Alicia Mutlu known as Alien, is a professional full-time artist with a BFA whose work is displayed in multiple galleries across Southern and Nothern California. with a main focus on drawing, painting, and tattoos, though the breadth of their work spans through to scupture, animation, and music. Their work primarily deals with the relation to the body, the mind and this world. A rather unique pattern emerges from their work which they describe to be the visualiztion of conciousness. Paintings are created with acrylic paint on canvas and vary from high rendered imagery to impressionistic mark making. Often regarded as Dark surrealism, low brow and popart combined. Their paintings are a sublimation of the hazards we are forced to face in reality and and a coping mechanism for the problems which plague human kind. Their work is an exploration into creation and a reflection of existance itself.
