Sharon Rene

Photography & Mixed Media | California

Sharon Rene is a California-based fine art photographer, multidisciplinary artist, and creative director whose work explores the shared threads of humanity, place, memory, and connection. Through photography, mixed media, and conceptual storytelling, she creates work that invites viewers to slow down, observe more deeply, and find meaning within ordinary moments.

Her photography is rooted in curiosity and quiet observation. Whether documenting daily life in Ethiopia, the vibrant streets of Dubai, the landscapes of Bali, or intimate moments closer to home, Sharon seeks the universal emotions that connect people across cultures and experiences. Themes of identity, resilience, belonging, spirituality, and the beauty of everyday life appear throughout her growing body of work.

Working across multiple series, including The Human Experience™, Destinations™, Fragments™, The Modern Muse™, and other conceptual collections, Sharon combines documentary photography with contemporary artistic interpretation. Her work often challenges traditional presentation, exploring scale, negative space, editorial design, and mixed media as extensions of the photographic image.

Beyond her personal practice, Sharon is the founder of Bee+Hive Artist Collective, an organization dedicated to creating opportunities for artists through exhibitions, education, workshops, and community-building. Her long-term vision is to cultivate spaces where creativity flourishes, artists find meaningful connection, and art becomes a catalyst for conversation and belonging.

Sharon's work reflects a simple philosophy: every photograph tells a story, every person carries one worth honoring, and every creative act has the power to bring people closer together.
