BHAC welcomes emerging, mid-career, and established visual artists who are actively developing their practice and want greater connection, visibility, and professional opportunities. Applicants should be prepared to submit a complete portfolio and participate respectfully in the collective. Membership is open to artists working in a range of visual media.

BHAC is a juried collective. Applications are reviewed based on the quality and presentation of the portfolio, the artist’s commitment to their practice, professional readiness, and alignment with the BHAC community. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance.

Members gain access to juried exhibition opportunities, promotional features through BHAC channels, artist resources, professional-development programs, community connections, and discounted member pricing. Exhibition participation and promotional features are based on availability, eligibility, and the requirements of each opportunity and are not guaranteed.

Yes. Monthly members may switch to the annual membership option at any time. Annual members may change to monthly billing when their current annual term ends. Both payment options provide the same membership benefits; only the billing structure differs.

Monthly members may cancel recurring billing before their next scheduled payment. Annual members may turn off automatic renewal at any time, and membership will remain active through the end of the paid annual term. Payments already made, including the monthly initiation fee, are nonrefundable and are not prorated.
